This video is a tribute to all Ukrainians who live with dignity and principle rather than bowing to terrorists who kill and destroy them and their land. That dignity is shared not only by Ukrainian adults but also by Ukrainian children who take a stand when necessary. In December 2024, 16- year-old Mariia Hnes, a Ukrainian karate champion, competed in Vienna, Austria against an athlete from terrorist russia. They both won medals and were expected to stand together on the podium and take a group photo. However, Mariya, whose father serves in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, chose instead to walk away, and her principled act of dignity was caught on video and became a viral moment of pride for Ukrainians everywhere.

In September, 2025, I was in Kyiv to film a music video with Mariia to inspire the world with the strength and honor of Ukrainians of all ages. We filmed the video over several days in Kyiv during some of the worst missile and drone attacks of the war. In the video, you can see us sheltering during one of those attacks. This video is being released on the fourth anniversary of the full-scale war along with a campaign to support the children of Ukrainian soldiers who participate in sports. All funds raised will be used to support the campaign and assist the children.

The scenes are touching, meaningful, and memorable. Perfume, like love, can be intoxicating and sometimes no words are needed to describe the powerful attraction of both. Although the video seems idyllic, just hours after we filmed it , a powerful attack drone hit an apartment just minutes from where I was having dinner with the film crew, killing 15-year old Mariya Troyanovskaya. I want to dedicate this video to her. P.S. For those Beatles fans, you will note that the musical tag line at 2:38 is a nod to the end of the song, “I Will.”

“I have known many girls who have had mental health challenges after a tragic family event and I have tried to understand how those who rose above the challenge not only survived but thrived,” said Kelsie. “With Sally, I am using an amazing song to let them know that leaning on a loved one for support can help move from self-destruction to self-esteem. But for most people, Sally is just a catchy song with fun lyrics.”

The song’s first lines set the stage for something different: “Sally did some crying, Sally lost her father, Sally felt like dying, Sally can’t be bothered, Sally throws a tantrum, Sally hates the mirror, Sally’s in the doldrums, Sally don’t come near her.”

But by the second verse, “Sally’s finally happy.”

The symbolism of filming this video in Kyiv is not coincidental because so many girls have lost fathers in the war causing them emotional distress and broken hearts. They all heard the words of their fathers when he last saw them—”if anything happens to me, remember, I love you, and you have to carry on for you, for our family, and for our country.” And they do, stronger and more determined than before.

Kelsie is a prolific artist, writing and recording more than 100 original songs and releasing dozens that have generated tens of millions of views, plays, streams, and radio plays, along with hundreds of rave reviews from across the globe. Every song she records includes Grammy winners in the production process. This year will take her to a whole new level with the release of a full length movie and a soundtrack with many of her songs. The EP has bookends signifying a book with many chapters. The first song, “The Drawer,” paints a heartbreaking picture of a treacherous and toxic relationship that statted out with passion and ended with abuse and a new found strength. The next song, ”Meet Me Anywhere,” is a hopeful but longing plea for a close friend to stop looking elsewhere for love when it is right next door. The third song, “Fatal Attraction” takes on a dark, haunting, and rock tone describing a relationship so full of fire and passion that it becomes intoxicating and dangerous. The chorus is not only an ear worm but perfectly underscores how a relationship can be so hot that it can combust at any second – “I want you to come around but I know you’re a fatal attraction, when I’m with you, it feels like I’ve just touched off a chemical action.”

The fourth song “Twinkle” has an accompanying video that will be also be released today. It is about a 12-year old transgender girl named Dempsey, and it represents Kelsie’s celebration of transgender youth at a time where some factions of society want to vilify and erase them. This song and video are important reminders in this election year for people to vote for candidates who respect and honor all people. The fifth song, ”January Through December,” expresses the feelings many people have of wanting more from a relationship but realizing that every day of the year brings happiness and joy that would be missed elsewhere.

The sixth song, “Parking Lot,” is a song and video that were already released on March 29^th and have gone viral on YouTube and other music platforms. It is the only song on the EP with a Latin flavor and a video filmed in the beautiful city of Cartagena, Colombia. The seventh song, “Summertime’s Gone,” is a forlorn and poignant song about young lovers who meet over the summer but have to leave each other at summer’s end. And finally, the last song “Recovery” is about how the stresses of young life can lead to destructive behavior that if left unchecked result in disaster. Here Kelsie sings, “apologies, for all those who I hurt in my life…I want to say thank you to all my friends and family, thank you for believing in me when I did not believe in me.”

The video represents Kelsie’s directing debut in which she flew to Orlando, Florida and spent time with an amazing 12-year old transgender girl named Dempsey as they had fun visiting the Gaylord Ice Sculptures and Disney World. In the video, they dance, sing, and laugh about the joys of life. Dempsey’s infectious energy will bring smiles to everyone as she shows that she is just like any other child her age in terms of what she needs to thrive and succeed — love, acceptance, and a nurturing family. “Together, we can break down the walls of ignorance, fear and prejudice so every human can live to their full potential with dignity and respect,” said Kelsie. “I want everyone to watch, like, and share this video so people can experience Dempsey’s love of life and pride for who she is.”

Kelsie chose to intersperse her experiences with Dempsey with archival footage of Dempsey growing up in a supportive and nurturing family environment where she is totally loved and accepted. This juxtaposition makes for a stunning and joyful video.

Today, across the nation, some cruel politicians, religious leaders, and groups are calling for bans on all books and media that mention transgender or gay people. This has led to bullying, discrimination, and even physical violence against transgender people. Several well-known politicians are campaigning on a platform of erasing transgender citizens from society as a whole, and even denying them medical care and jobs in the public sector. Even drag shows are being outlawed. Kelsie’s video is meant to counter these grotesque forms of bigotry and intolerance in the hope that society will reflect and embrace all of its diversity with equality and love.

Neros joined a series of American drone companies trying to capitalize on the huge demand for drones, opens new tab in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, where thousands of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been deployed at unprecedented scale to track enemy forces, guide artillery and bomb targets.

Founded by former professional drone racers Soren Monroe-Anderson and Olaf Hichwa, Neros said it had designed, manufactured and shipped drones to the battlefield in Ukraine within months of the company’s launch.

It is currently producing hundreds of drones a month, and plans to use the funding for hiring and scaling up production.

Neros competes with Chinese drone makers that currently dominate the Ukraine market at cheaper prices. With its systems priced in the low four figures, Neros said it aims to be cost effective while using non-Chinese supply chains.

The company said it is also in conversation with the U.S. Department of Defense about using its vehicles across the Army, Air Force and special forces.

“What we really want is a cost-effective, performing product that serves Ukraine and the DoD combined, and no one’s accomplished that yet,” Neros CEO Monroe-Anderson said in an interview.

This deal also marks Sequoia Capital’s continued bet on defense tech, a sector it first joined other Silicon Valley venture capital firms in investing in last year.

“I think Neros is already best designed in the world for their class,” said Shaun Maguire, the Sequioa partner who led the deal.
“The next step is having more skilled supply chain purchase, having as much as possible be from U.S. suppliers and all of it from Western suppliers.”

Kelsie’s last five releases have been dedicated to Ukraine where her mother was born because she wanted to focus the world’s attention on the horrors of the war and the dire need to help Ukraine win a total victory. While those videos have all gone viral with millions of views and streams, Kelsie wanted to shift gears so she traveled to Colombia to film two music videos, “Parking Lot” and “Gotta See Right.” The first is being released in March and the second in mid-summer.

“Parking Lot” is a song about a very hot Latin girl who loves to dance and show off her moves in public. Kelsie sings about how happy she is that the dancer is hers as she watches all the boys and girls also wanting the dancer. The filming took place at an outdoor paintball venue and in the middle of a parking lot while Kelsie watches from her convertible Mercedes. Halfway through the song, legendary Colombian producer and musician Pedro Vengoechea jumps in with a very cool Latin rap as he watches the dancer breaking it down in front of the Mercedes.

“Cartagena was the perfect place to film this song because it allowed us to capture all the nuances in the song—fun, dancing, color, heat, and lust,” said Kelsie. “I was amazed with the way Sabrina (the dancer) was able to bring my vision to life. And of course, Pedro is the maestro who made it all happen and Carlos is an incredible director.”

The song has a very cool Latin groove with a powerful Spanish guitar emphasizing and countering the vocals. The chorus will certainly go viral on social media—”Yeah you look so fine, girl, I’m glad you’re mine Everybody wantin’ you, in the parking lot.”

Once again, Kelsie hits the ball out of the parking lot with her new song a video.

The shoot, which lasted several weeks, was grueling, exhilarating, and historic in the sense that it provided a glimpse into past horrors of autocrats while warning of similar future horrors. The plot of the video is about a dystopian society where music is banned and musicians are executed for violating the “law of silence.” Kelsie plays the role of the musical protagonist who stands up to a dictator while his propaganda-zombified army constantly tries to stop her, but she always escapes at the last second.

The story is not only a metaphor for the actions of authoritarian regimes around the world, but also, in a sense, shines a light on dark events occurring in Russia, Afghanistan, Iran, and other dictatorial regimes. For example, after the complete invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Russia banned not only protests, but also any anti-war or anti-Kremlin manifestations in art, songs, and public and personal statements. Thousands of ordinary citizens have been arrested and imprisoned for violating these decrees. Russia not only targeted its artists but just recently issued criminal charges against one of the most popular singers in Ukraine, Jamala, because she used her music to sing about regaining freedom for her native Crimea. Anyone who manages to speak freely, against a sea of Russian fascist propaganda, is living in a metaphorical straitjacket. In the video, several scenes show Kelsie in a straitjacket as she is spun around and upside down while the dictator dances around in celebration.

This video is about people with a moral conscience who oppose autocrats who want to silence them no matter in what country. Ukrainian citizens made a moral choice to break free from the stranglehold of a dictator which resulted in a failed attempt by the dictator to destroy their entire country. Kelsie’s video is meant to inspire everyone across the globe who is similarly held down to rise up and fulfill their divine promise. While the lyrics of the song are meant as a war cry for Ukraine, and the chorus as a power anthem for the entire country, any color revolution, whether in Russia, Belarus, Iran, or elsewhere can sing to the heavens, “We are the Promise, We are the Glory, We are the Story.”

Initially, Kelsie created the video not just for the song, but as a pilot episode for a cable series. Unfortunately, COVID hit in 2020 before it could be finished, then the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine war began on February 24, 2022, and then her friend and mentor Sergiy Krutsenko suddenly died a year ago on January 6, 2023, while he was editing a video at his workplace. Therefore, his team in Ukraine finished the video and he is now looking down, happy with the final result. Kelsie’s team is now actively looking for a cable company that will fulfill Sergiy’s dream of creating a powerful series in which famous musicians will play episodic roles with Kelsie in the fight against fascism.

Kelsie has released the song and video for the anniversary of Sergiy’s death and she has dedicated the video to him and all people who are fighting for the victory of freedom and democracy, especially in Ukraine. Kelsie is also dedicating this to the famous Ukrainian actor, Oleksandr Zhukovin, who stars as the dictator in the video. Although he plays the bad guy, today he is serving in the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighting on the front lines in one of the most dangerous regions of Ukraine.

“We live in treacherous times with the rise of right-wing populism and the normalization of authoritarianism,” says Kelsie. “It is therefore very important that people around the world are aware of the threats to freedom and democracy from dictators who care only about power and control. All freedom-loving people must take individual and collective responsibility and oppose fascism in any form. My song and video are intended to inspire everyone to stand up for their rights in the face of these threats.”
